New Year’s Eve 2011

Hey everyone,

A UCB Canada listener wants to do something special tonight on the air at 6:30 sharp. Tune in to find out what it is. Also, we’ll be counting down the year’s Top 20 Christian songs tonight beginning at 10:35! Happy New Year everyone!

Since Jan 1st is tomorrow….

What are some of your New Year’s resolutions?

Tomorrow morning at 8:10 on the Rise and Shine Morning, Al Baker welcomes Amy Savin and Dana Marie. We’ll be chatting a bit about their stories and we’ll hear their duet of O Come All Ye Faithful.

12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety

Listen to the Rise and Shine Morning Show for the daily tip during the 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety Contest - right up until December 20 - next Monday and Tuesday. When Malcolm Hunt invites you to call to tell him that day’s tip, be the first caller at 519-351-1118 and win a Sparky Glow-in-the-Dark Smoke Alarm, a combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarm and a limited edition Sparky Holiday Tree Ornament!

Play it safe this holiday season and have fun doing it with the Chatham-Kent Fire Department and UCB Canada!

You’ve heard the song… “bring us some Figgy Pudding” Ever had Figgy Pudding? I sure haven’t and wouldn’t even know it if I saw it, so I looked it up. I was shocked to learn that it’s not even a pudding after all, closer than “Black Pudding“ I might add. ”Figgy Pudding” is actually a spice cake-like soufle made with Figs and Walnuts.
I also got to thinking about other holiday treats I’ve not had the pleasure of trying. Do you have any Christmas recipes I could try?
